Terms of service for CookMate
These terms govern your access to and use of CookMate (“the application”), provided by 4DC Services.
1. Permitted use and account responsibilities
CookMate is licensed for personal culinary management, recipe storage, meal planning, and grocery tracking. You agree to use the application in accordance with all applicable laws and respect the intellectual property of original recipe creators.
2. Recipe extraction and third-party content rights
CookMate includes automated tools to extract structured recipe data from public web links for personal viewing and archival:
- Personal use only: Extracted recipes are intended solely for your personal domestic use. You agree not to redistribute, publish, or commercialise extracted proprietary culinary content without the original author’s consent.
- Accuracy of scraping: Because web formatting varies widely, CookMate does not guarantee that third-party web content will be parsed with 100% accuracy. Users should review extracted ingredient quantities and baking temperatures before cooking.
3. Dietary, allergy, and nutritional disclaimers
- Not medical advice: Nutritional estimates, ingredient substitutions, and dietary tags provided in CookMate are generated for informational convenience only.
- Allergy responsibility: Always verify ingredient packaging and allergen notices independently. CookMate assumes no liability for adverse allergic reactions or dietary complications.
4. Kitchen safety and smart timer disclaimers
CookMate provides multi-timer coordination and interactive step guidance to assist your cooking. However, kitchen safety, food hygiene, oven temperatures, and food safety remain your sole responsibility. Never leave active cooking appliances unattended.
5. Limitation of liability and warranties
CookMate is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. 4DC Services disclaims liability for any kitchen accidents, food spoilage, or data loss.
